Life-size bronzes by award-winning artist Sandi Ciaramitaro are found in the Wallace Desert Garden and the Australian Exhibit. Also available as limited-edition maquettes (smaller, table-top sized sculptures), Sandi has generously offered to donate 15% of sales to the Arboretum. Visit her website for available works and tell her you found her at BTA.
In the South African Deserts exhibit, Chapungu sculptures express feelings about nature and its importance to our lives; family life and love; and plants and animals and their relationship to us. Hewn from hard stone monoliths, the sculptures are representational, but the artists drew inspiration from a wide range of influences - religious rites, mythology, and Zimbabwe's history.
The Arboretum’s Art Gallery in the Visitors Center is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Gallery typically features local artists whose work is reflective of the natural beauty of Arizona. Stay tuned to the website for updates on the re-opening of currently restricted areas, including the Arboretum Gallery.
